Digital Marketing Officer

Part time | NW London | £29,000 - £31,000 FTE

The JLC are recruiting for a Digital Marketing Officer to join the team. The post holder will play a pivotal role in enhancing the JLC’s online presence, engaging and driving engagement. This position involves developing and implementing digital marketing strategies across various platforms to promote both the JLC’s work and the work of its members. This crucial role will also help ensure the JLC’s website is accessible, up to date and informative.

Person Specification

  • Passionate about the role of the JLC in the community and specifically the way in which we can serve our members. We are looking for someone who is committed to the sustainability of the Jewish community and its infrastructure. This role will require someone who is driven, dynamic and innovative.

  • As this is a new position within the organisation, there is scope for the right candidate to shape the role, alongside the senior leadership, to make the most impact.

  • They will be a self-starter who is an excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills. They will think creatively and understand how to tell a story.

  • They will have a keen interest in the Third Sector, the Jewish community and current affairs.

  • This role will give you an opportunity to work with the community’s major Jewish communal organisations within a dynamic and exciting team. It will provide opportunity and scope for personal and professional growth, supported by our leadership.

Essential Qualities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to craft impactful messages and engage audiences.

  • Experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media tools to effectively manage digital channels.

  • Capability to interpret data and metrics to inform decision-making and improve campaign performance.

  • A creative mindset to develop engaging content and innovative marketing strategies that capture attention and inspire action.

  • Excellent organisational skills plus the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals whilst prioritising effectively.

  • Passion for the JLC’s mission and purpose.

  • Experience working independently and in a team.

  • Experience in using all Microsoft 365 Office Suite.

Desirable Qualities

  • Knowledge of the UK Jewish community and its infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of the wider Third Sector in the UK.

  • An understanding of and experience in using Google Analytics as well as film production, editing and photography.

  • The ability to adapt your creative style for different audiences and different channels
