The term 'psychological contract' refers to individuals’ expectations, beliefs, ambitions, and obligations, as perceived by the employer and the worker. It is about the unwritten ‘deal’ between them. When there is a sense of fairness and trust it will go well but the reverse is true. This session will introduce the idea of the psychological contact and illustrate it with examples as well as exploring the psychological contracts of the delegates with the aim of improving relationships.
